Evil Scientist Research Proposal: Double-Blind Lyrics Composition via SongSmith

I laugh at the abomination that is Songsmith. Thanks, Andrew. Now I want to perform a double-blind SongSmith experiment, where someone else SongSmiths a vocal track from a famous song, gives me the instrumental track SongSmith generates without telling me the song, then I write and record lyrics to it, then I get to hear my lyrics on the original instrumentation. Any takers?

Er, maybe... If it's easy enough that I could just put it in here.

Sure, just don't let me know the source song, just post the arrangement and name it something unidentifiable.

Are you EVER visiting NoVA again?

Okay! But as for visiting NoVA, I have no idea! My parents moved to Texas, and don't know why I would go back to NoVA, unless you've an idea...?

Okay, lyrics here:

Lyrics Song One

I never thought that I would find myself
In bed amongst the stones
The columns are all men
Begging to crush me
No shapes sail on the dark deep lakes
And no flags wave me home

In the caves
All cats are grey
In the caves
The textures coat my skin
In the death cell
A single note
Rings on and on and on

Lyrics Song Two

We move like cagey tigers
We couldn't get closer than this
The way we walk
The way we talk
The way we stalk
The way we kiss
We slip through the streets
While everyone sleeps
Getting bigger and sleeker
And wider and brighter
We bite and scratch and scream all night
Let's go and throw
All the songs we know...

Into the sea
You and me
All these years and no one heard
I'll show you in spring
It's a treacherous thing
We missed you hissed the lovecats

We're so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully
Wonderfully pretty!
Oh you know that I'd do anything for you...
We should have each other to tea huh?
We should have each other with cream
Then curl up by the fire
And sleep for awhile
It's the grooviest thing
It's the perfect dream

Into the sea
You and me
All these years and no one heard
I'll show you in spring
It's a treacherous thing
We missed you hissed the lovecats

We're so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully
Wonderfully pretty!
Oh you know that I'd do anything for you...
We should have each other to dinner huh?
We should have each other with cream
Then curl up in the fire
Get up for awhile
It's the grooviest thing
It's the perfect dream

Hand in hand
Is the only way to land
And always the right way round
Not broken in pieces
Like hated little meeces...
How could we miss
Someone as dumb as this?

I love you... let's go...
Oh... solid gone...
How could we miss
Someone as dumb as this?

Um, the challenge kind of works the other way, where Fred runs the vocal track of a song through SongSmith, send Bob just the music that SongSmith generates without disclosing the original song, then Bob writes and records lyrics on the SongSmith track, then Fred mixes Fred's lyrics on the instrument track of the original song, hilarity ensues.

My brother Tighe lives in New Braunfels, and my sister Melissa lives in Austin. Shooting for March. Peace out!
