Have you ever tried your crock pot barbecue recipe with a dash of liquid smoke?

No, but only because I either use a smoky barbecue sauce, add molasses, or both. I season to taste, and this last batch required a heroic dose of molasses.

I am not at all against liquid smoke, though. Thanks for the tip. I like to add liquid smoke to pizza sauce.

It already sounds good the way you do it. I've never been good at using liquid smoke. I was kinda hoping you could give me pointers :)
