One Carton of Cigarettes

I started a tradition last year based on an anecdote about the physicist Richard Feynman, who sold each of his Manhattan Project patents to the government for a dollar, then actually demanded his dollar and bought candy for the office.  Then all the other physicists demanded their dollars.

Tomorrow will be three years since I quit smoking. I used to buy a carton of cigarettes a week.  Today a carton costs $67.04.  I put $67.04 of free candy in the break room this morning.

Based on today's consumption it'll take a staff of 80 about four days to eat what it would take me a week to smoke.
