Thank you for posting this. The video raised meaningful questions about how people define communication.
I believe that the meaning of communication is the response the sender gets from making the communication. So I guess if the meaning you get from interacting with the water is the response of the water, then the response of the water is the meaning of your interaction with it.
But my understanding of communication is different from my understanding of language. If I knock down a tree in the middle of the forest, I have communicated with the tree, but is knocking down a tree an act of language? I would have to be able to ask the tree.
