Christmas Situation Report December 24, 2008, 11:48am

I'm at home making Christmas dinner like a good little Hausfrau. I finished the chocolate pie so now I have time to upload the Christmas photos thus far.

Aimee's presents were hidden under a tarp in the Harry Potter room since July. By November 24 I had already wrapped that booty!

The day after Thanksgiving we bought the smallest tree on the farm and had it decorated with Aimee's gifts deployed. My gifts are tucked away in the ceremonial IKEA EXPEDIT bookshelf. God jul! Fortunately we haven't had to bother with watering the tree as it is dead.

The spiritual sign of Christmas appeared on December 20th with the arrival of Solstie, the Albino Squirrel of the Winter Solstice.

Solstie again performed his annual miracle by continuing to survive despite a shocking white coloration that practically begs predators to devour him. Thanks, Solstie!

Aimee made a king-sized quilt with a woodland theme for her brother Timothy.

Aimee has made me three quilts. This is because she loves me more than anyone. Nyanaahaah.

My chocolate pie is done. Eat that!

Love, Basil

awww... Solstie is so cute!!! Go Solstie!!!
BTW my little help the environment hint... ever have unpopped or burnt kernels from your microwave popcorn? Put them out for your squirrel friends.... less in the trash, and the critters wont try to go into the trash cans, they get food (especially during winter) and the whole world is happy... Sing kum-bah-yah with me everyone!!!

(not to change the subject, but when we lived in our apartment we had a roach problem-- as do many living in apartments... we decided it was time to move when we started seeing ALBINO roaches!!!! I kid you not... The grossest examples of albinism I have ever seen)

Have a great holiday,

Doesn't feeding the squirrels encourage them to increase the population so they depend on you feeding them? The last thing I want to encourage is squirrel codependence.

Albino cockroaches prove there is no God.
