Grandma's funeral and reception

The only radio station I can stand is the Library station. A lady reads "The View from the Seventh Layer" by Kevin Brockmeier then starts Pride and Prejudice.

Friday I drive through pouring rain to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where Louise was baptized. I help take her casket inside. The mortician opens the casket. I don't recognize her. She looks okay, just like a different person. The local montsignor hosts the funeral mass. He's a distant relative. He looks and sounds like David Strathairn.

That's a compliment: I like David Strathairn. We process through flooding rain to Memphis Calvary Cemetery. Straight out of a John Grisham novel.

We have a reception at Dad's house. I have an allergic reaction to the makeup from all the old-lady kisses. Bill and I leave for the airport to come back to DC to see Dethklok Halloween night at the Patriot Center. \m/

Okay, that's THREE people I know who are getting to see/have seen Dethklok perform.

Why is it everybody but ME?

Otherwise, sorry about the allergic reaction. *pets*

Have a brutal time at the show! \m/
